Nothing Shall Separate Us From the Love of God

QUESTION: Nothing Shall Separate Us From the Love of God

ANSWER: Nothing Shall Separate Us From the Love of God -- Insights from God’s Word
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present or the future nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:35–39

Nothing Shall Separate Us From the Love of God -- Without You, I can do Nothing
Prayer: Father, I know in my heart as I begin this time of prayer that You are calling out to me seeking my attention. My first priority right now is to quiet myself and simply wait on Your Presence. This is not always easy as I am so impatient by nature and generally find it very hard to be still. Nonetheless, I am committed to quietly approaching You.

Without You, sweet Jesus, I know I can do nothing. Without You I know in my heart that my old habit patterns and temptations will come right back at me and cause me harm. I pray today that You will help me to turn away from myself and focus on You, my God, knowing in confidence that all I need will be provided. I humble my heart in Your Presence and drink at the well of Your provision.

I know Your heart is good and that all things that produce eternal fruit come from that very spot. I am on my knees this morning seeking Your heart and impatiently waiting for You to pursue me. This is something that I have come to understand as I have searched for You and found so many truths that have proven to be life changing and life building. My heart yearns to know You in a deep and personal way that surpasses the level of simple human connection and relies on the Holy Spirit for His wisdom and guidance as I search.

Please remove from my heart any fears or doubts that might still be hidden from my sight, and release me to soar as an eagle with no fear of crashing. I acknowledge that Your love for me is real, and Your passion for Your children fierce. I have seen You hold me back from the edge of a mountain before I lost my balance and fell. I have seen You respond to prayers too multiple to count, and have watched You increase my faith and grow my trust.

As You pursue me this day, I pray that You will reveal Your Presence so I can bask in the warmth of Your embrace. As we journey through this day together, help me to wait patiently for Your direction before I react. Show me with the clarity of vision only You can give, when I should stop, wait or go. I acknowledge that You are all--loving and all--powerful, and that before You, the angels in heaven bow and the demons in the air flee. I am totally dependent on You, Lord Jesus, for the touch of Your hand on my shoulder and the whisper of Your voice in my ear. Without Your daily Presence I am incapable of making wise choices. Thank You that no matter what the circumstance I might face today, You stand ready to guide and direct the outcome -- if I will only ask You. Humbly I seek Your Face and ask for an anointing of Your Holy Spirit as I begin one more day, praying that all I do will bring honor and glory to You my King.

What do you think?
We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

What is your response?

Yes, I want to follow Jesus

I am a follower of Jesus

I still have questions
